TRANSLATION.

1.       Sher Shah Ali Shah are sleeping. Let us wake them and then they will shine like the sun.

2.       Maqpon’s Khans are sleeping. Brothers ! Let us wake them and then they will shine like the  sun.

3.       They are sleeping on the cot made of gold, Brothers! Let us go and wake them up.

4.       They are sleeping in a silk quilt. Brothers! Let us go and wake them up.

5.       They are sleeping on a mattress of cotton. O Brothers ! Let us go and wake them up and then they will shine like the sun.

6.       Sher Shah Ali Shah brothers rendered Chhamogarh into a gorge and then sheep were brought.

7.       Maqpon Khans converted Chhamogarh into a desolate place and then they brought sheep and goats.

8.       Sher Shah Ali Shah camped at Gilgit and then shone like the sun.

9.       Maqpon Brothers camped at Gilgit and then shone like the sun.

10.      Sher Shah Ali Shah brothers constructed wall in Chitral and then dust was raised.

11.      Maqpon brothers constructed wall in Chitral and dust was raised.

The exact date and year of the death of Shah Murad is not known. Accordingly to the computation of Hashmatullah he died in 1680 A.D. But from the Moghal History it becomes evident that he was living in 1684 when Ibrahim Khan’s son seized the town of Tibet and annexed it to the Empire. During the Tatar invasion of Laddakh Shah Murad was in the Moghal camp as recorded by Laddakhi chronicle. It appears that he died round about 1688 at the earliest.

Shah Murah is the greatest Prince Baltistan produced next to Ali Sher Khan Anchan.
