TRANSLATAION 

  1. Behold the red rose blossoming in the Hilal Bagh (Hilal garden) of the Broq Maqpon.
  2. Oh’ it was not the red rose, it was Maqpon Ali Sher Khan.
  3. Behold the ‘Halo’ flower blossoming, in Broq Maqpon, Hilal Bagh
  4. Oh: it was not the ‘Halo’ flower, it was Anchan Ali Sher Khan.
  5. When the queen was brought (to Skardu) she was accompanied by hundreds of men and horses;
  6. When the queen was brought, she was to tread on steps made of turquoise (as a mark of honour) the steps leading to the palace had been adorned with turquoise):

It appears that the Balti conquest of Laddakh took place in about 1594 A.D. (1005 A.H.) as mentioned Zakaullah in the ‘Iqbal Namah Akbari’.  

The annexation of Kashmir to the Moghal Empire was complete in 1586 A.D. (994 A.H.). According to the author of the Iabalnama-i-Akbari17 , when Emperor Akbar paid a second visit to Kashmir in 1000 (A.H.) (1592 A.D.) ‘Ali Rai, the ruler of Tibet requested Emperor to marry his daughter to Prince Saleem and the Emperor acceded to his request.’ More accurate and authentic is the version of Mullah Abdul Qadir Badayuni recorded in 999 A.H.
